I’ve heard many stories about this giant jellyfish that looks like a big hat and doesn’t burn you, but I’have never seen it before.
Today, I saw it for the first time! My boyfriend jumped into the sea getting ready to go spearfishing. He noticed something and at first he thought it was a sunken mooring buoy, but as he got closer he discovered it was a type of jellyfish called Sea lungs (Rhizostoma pulmo).
I encouraged him to touch it because i knew that it doesn’t burn. He brought it on the boat so we inspected it a little bit.
The “hat” was very thick and hard, almost as if it was made of plastic.
The bottom was curly and looked like cabbage hahahaha 🙂 That’s what the girls said 🙂
We returned it to the sea and it continued to float…
Au revoir, notre amie… et à bientôt 😀
